China has always maintained that differences should be resolved through dialogue and consultation, Yang said, adding that China opposes the use of force in international relations.

ANKARA, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Turkey on Friday called on Iran and the United States to avoid unilateral steps that would jeopardize regional stability over the killing of Qasem Soleimani, a commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

"We are deeply concerned about the escalating of the U.S.-Iranian tension in the region. We strongly re-emphasize the warning that turning Iraq into a conflict zone will harm the peace and stability of both Iraq and our region," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a written statement.

The U.S. airstrike in Iraqi capital Baghdad targeting the convoy of Soleimani will increase the insecurity and instability of the region, said the ministry.

Such escalating steps will increase the "spiral of violence" and all parties will suffer from this situation, said the statement.

"Turkey always rejects any foreign intervention in the region, assassinations or sectarian conflict," said the statement.

For this reason, Turkey invites all parties to "act in common sense and sobriety, to avoid unilateral steps that would jeopardize the peace and stability of the region and to prioritize diplomacy," stated the ministry.

Islamabad, Jan 10, IRNA -- Pakistan's Minister of State for Safron and Narcotics Control says assassination of IRGC Quds force commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani by the US is an act against humanity.

The territorial vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) for the Táchira state, Freddy Bernal, described as cowardly the foreign policy of the United States Government (US) regarding the murder of the general, Qassem Soleimani , leader of the Republican Guard of Iran.

“My solidarity with the Iranian people before the vile and cowardly murder of General Qassem Soleimani, leader of the Republican Guard, is a key figure in the military policy of this region. Once again the imperial US government he kills resistance leaders without measuring consequences, ”Bernal wrote through his Twitter social network account.

The government of Donald Trump in the heart of Baghdad bombarded the facilities of the International Airport causing the death of 8 people.

The air attack claimed the life of Qassem Soleimani , commander of the Quds Force, unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; and of the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces and commander of the Kataib Hezbollah (KH) militia, Abu Mahdi al Muhandis, review press release of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) of Táchira.

This fact also constitutes a clear violation of International Law and puts the stability and peace of the world at risk.

During an interview on the First Page program broadcast on a private television channel, the International Analyst stressed that “the Islamic Republic of Iran has the domain of the Strait of Hormuz, which has oil fields considered the highest international level and European, that is why the closure of this strait would create an eminent threat that could trigger a third World War ”

He added that this strategy would change the world order, which "would make Europe see itself in the need to go to Iran and not the United States."

The internationalist explained that this attack is because "the United States does not forgive Soleimani for the defeat inflicted on its terrorist groups in Syria, Lebanon and in Iraq." / CP

Selective Killings Ordered By Trump Are Terrorist Crimes

Pakistan 10/Jan/2020 .

Korea International Peace Forum

The United States, the number one country in human rights violations and international terrorism, commits all kinds of crimes, aggressions and injustices, in the name of democracy and national security.

International murder or "decisive defensive action"?

This Friday morning, the US military neo-colonial hegemony launched another selective rocket attack near the cargo terminal of Baghdad International Airport . As a result, two vehicles of the Popular Mobilization units of Iraq were set on fire, and Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and General Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis were killed. Both commanders in chief of the anti-terrorist forces, which defeated ISIS, Al Qaeda, and in the case of Soleimani; a recognized international figure in his participation so that the Libyan government does not fall. On both murders, Washington claims to have been a "decisive defensive action."

Outside the context of active hostilities, the use of drones or other means for selective killings is never legal . To be justified by international human rights law, intentionally lethal or potentially lethal force can only be used when strictly necessary, to protect against an imminent threat to life .

In other words, the murderer of these two men would need to demonstrate that objective people constitute an imminent threat to others . The alleged past participation of an individual in "terrorist" attacks would not be enough .

In addition, murder with drones or helicopters of any person other than the target (family members or other close persons, for example) would be an arbitrary deprivation of life under human rights laws and could result in liability. of the State and individual criminal responsibility .

The use of aircraft in the territory of other States has also been justified in self-defense. Under customary international law, states can take military measures if the threatened attack is imminent , no other means would divert it and the action is proportional.

The test for the so-called anticipatory self-defense is very limited : it must be an "instantaneous, overwhelming need that leaves no choice of means or moment of deliberation." So it is unlikely that this test will be performed, in these particular cases of General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis.

Therefore, the selective killings of Qasem Soleiman and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, in addition to being very illegal and violating international human rights law, constitute acts of international terrorism , and cannot be justified as "decisive defensive actions . "

Based on recent studies, the true human cost calculated only from the wars in the United States, after 11S in the Middle East, has killed 6 million people . As detailed by the American researcher Nicolas JS Davies, in his report entitled Blood On Our Hands: the American Invasion and Destruction of Iraq (Blood in our hands: the American invasion and destruction of Iraq) .

We ask the international community to denounce these crimes and the dangerous escalation of the Trump administration, as well as we appeal to congressmen and the American population, ” in the words of researcher Nicolás JS Davies“ it is urgent that we accept the true human cost of wars of our country and that have manipulated and tricked us to look the other way. We must do it before the conflicts lengthen even more, before they devastate more countries, before they further undermine international law and before they kill more millions of our fellow citizens in the world . ”
